It is advised to try to provide a moving company with as much notice as possible, especially if you are looking to move during the busy season. Movers busy season is always in the summer time. A safe time to try and lock in your move would be about a month from your target date. It is also a good idea to add even more time to make the right decision, to compare quotes and check potential companies online reputation to see what other clients have experienced in the past.
Generally moving companies will not move live plants, even locally. If you are moving out of state, no moving company is allowed to even do so. Although if you are moving a very short distance, some companies may be able to turn a blind eye to a few plants on the back of the truck. Always inquire in advance!
It is wise to do your due diligence and check online reviews before requesting a quote from any moving company. Also you can ask your neighbors, friends, coworkers and family members if they can make any recommendations. Chances are everyone has used a mover at some point or another!
